anything goes

It been snowing around here and its cold and i decided that since karens doodles was going with the theme of anything goes as long as you a karens doodles image then i was going to go with something warm and fun. I used maggie and me then along with these pretty red flower paper from the cafe Mediterranean stack from dcwv.  I used copics to color my image, the butterfly is a nestablites die and the border punch is from stamping up.  Image is cut out with my lacey squares from nestablites.  Hope you feel a bit warmer.

happy new year with bells and whistles

Over on the bells and whistles challenge blog this week the theme is new years and a bells and whistles image. I was really struggling with this theme cause i only have a few bells and whistles images and none of them said happy new year to me.  Then i though well what about a january birthday type card with cupcake.  Then i though okay what papers do i have that scream new years.   I dug thru my stash and found these papers from dcwv linen closet.  I used a sketch from split coast stampers it is sc311 and my sentiment is from studio g.  I hope i have inspired you to try this challenge out with your own bells and whistles images.  Cupcake is colored with copics.

Sketch and stash your choice

Over at the sketch and stash blog this week it your choice which of the past sketch and stash sketches you use and of course something new from your stash.  I choose sketch number 8 to work with and my new item from my stash is my designers papers.  It the winter wonderland stack from dcwv which i purchased at joannes but is not longer available as Christmas is almost here. My image is from sugar nellie and i colored her up with copic markers.

Winter wonder

I am entering this card into two challenges

1. the pixie cottage - followed the sketch. papers used are from dcwv winter wonderland. Image is from the greeting farm snowboarding toby.

2. simon says  - silver, blue and white.  I colored toby in the required colors for this challenge and pick papers from dcwv winter wonderland stack to accent.

Dare to be sassy snow

The challenge on sassy studio designs this week is the theme of snow.  I used snow bunny from sassy studio designs.  I also used snowflake cuttle bug folder and snow themed papers from dcwv winter wonderland stack.  I also used winter wonder sentiment from ctmh.  My image is colored with copic markers.

Snowball fight

The challenge for this week on cute card thursday blog is to make one for the kids.  I thought this card would work really well for me to give one of my friends kids for christmas cause it totally themed for kids playing in the snow with their friends or siblings.  My image is from the greeting farm and is called snowball fight.  I used a sentiment from ctmh and my papers are from dcwv winter wonderland stack.  I colored my image with copics and used a sparkle gellyroll for the glitter on the snow.  Have a great day.

Kraftin kimmie and kraft cardstock

The challenge on the kraftin kimmie challenge blog is to use a kraftin kimmie image and kraft cardstock.  I love lisette she is so easy to color up and make a card with for any occassion.  I choose to dress her up in christmas colors and use the studio g merry christmas sentiment.  So she ready to celebrate a christmas party or a christmas dinner.   I paired her with cosmo cricket mitten weather papers and she is colored with copic markers.

Snow Juggler

This cute juggling snowman is one of my recent wins that i got for participating in the paper craft planet sugar nellie weekly challenges.  I inked him up today to participate in the sugar bowl challenge which is to follow the sketch and the option of using black and white.  I did get some black and white in with my blue and gray color scheme.  My pattern papers are both digital papers.  I colored my juggling snowman with copic markers and then i chalked the white background of my card in pale blue to coordinate better with the gray and blue scheme of the card. The sketch is flipped cause i really wanted to use the snowman.  I finished it with 3 silver brads.  Come join us with your own sugar nellies at the sugar bowl.
