Dustin pike food related

Over on the dustin pike challenge blog we are being challenge to make a card with a dustin pike image that is food related.  I starting combing thru my images trying to decide what image to use when i ran across this cutie that dustin had give out as a freebie.  I printed him out and he all ready precolored so that helped.  My papers are bo bunny blast off collection and then i matted with blue and black cardstock with some star brads. Tsg pop one layer

Over at the there she goes blog there a weekly challenge and this week we have the challenge to do a one layer card with something popped up on your card.  Now if you been to my blog at all you know i do not tend to do very simple one layer cards.  I love layers, lots of bling and show off ness on my cards. So i struggled and thought on this one.  I looked thru the there she goes gallery and spotted the zoo pendous album.  Oh yeah i have that set duh just create a scene.  So that what i did.  I used various elements from zoo pendous and decided to pop my giraffe up in front next to to sentiment.  The grass is from the blossom by blossom set. Image is colored with copics.

Water

The challenge this week over at the icopic weekly challenge  is water.  I took this as opportunity to go clean and simple with one of my favorite Taylored expressions set from the oh the places you go stamp set.  I stamped my image in memento innk and colored with copics.  Added a bit of glitter pen to the top of the waves to make the water stand out more.  Inked my edges with some blue memento ink.  I hope you like my water image. 

Puppy love

It been a long time since i played with the karen doodles weekly challenge and since this week is a sketch challenge i just had to jump in again.   I used this adorable image from karen doodles digital images call Maggie and me then.  My sentiment is from tlc creations.  My papers are from my minds eye stell and rose and my image is colored with a combo of smooch and copic markers.  Have a great monday.

Stamp something has a themed challenge for us this week. I choose to use this adorable image from Papermake up stamps called school boy fairy.  My papers are from October afternoon report card.  Sentiment is from unity stamp co.  Image is colored with copics.  I am also entering this card into the sweet stop sketch challenge since i used their sketch.

Queen Kat Designs has recently started selling there stamps on amazon.  I took the plunge and purchased this adorable stamp from the captain frogger collection.  This cutie is named athena the moon fairy.  I am entering this card into the simon says stamp sketch challenge for this week.  My papers are from my minds eye stella and rose and my image is queen kat designs, sentiment unity stamp co.

Your zoo pendous

There she goes challenge this week is an inspiration photo challenge.  I had not had a chance to ink up my new zoo pendous set from tsg so i decided to use it this week.  My clouds are from paper trey hot air balloon set.  I used chalk to create my sky.  My papers are my my minds eye and my border punch is from martha stewart.

PMS Digi Makeover Challenge DT call

Papermake up stamps has decided to start a weekly challenge focused on the use of digital stamps and that means they need a group of people who love using digital images.  They have provided to adorable images for this call.  One is the AHA heart fairy which i am featuring in my post and the other is Argus the monster with his teddy bear.  You can read all the details about the call on the PMS blog.

Papermakeup stamps would like to know what i like about digital stamps.  I like digital stamps for a variety of reasons. One is that they are very affordable, easily storable on your computer or in my case a flash drive, and most of the best reason is you can make them any size for your project which i believe makes them a better bargain for your money cause it like getting several sizes of the same stamp.   Also quite rencently a few companies have been offering there images in colored versions as well as black and white so for those that may not enjoy the coloring process it a quick size and print and add to your project.

As far as dabbling in different ways to use digi images other then resizing i also recently discovered a new way to color both rubber and digital images it called the no lines technique.  You stamp your image in a light color like pink or a very light blue and once you color it almost looks like you painted your image.  You can do the same with a digi you just light the opacity of the image tell you barely see the lines.  Anyway i babbled on enough about digi images and my love for them.

Whimsy Stamps Design Team Call

Get your thong on!

Over at there she goes clear stamps the challenge this week is a color challenge. The color to use are baby pink, coral and black. Extra bonus points if your able to add gold somewhere on your project.  Now it took me a few mintues to decide what i had that was going to work with this project.  Your able to use any company you want for this challenge but i always challenge myself when it company challenge blog to use stamps from that company if have ones that will work. So i got out my tsg sets and hmm and haaa and then i said flip flops it is.  I was able to get both shades of pink, black and the bonus gold on my project by heat embossing my sentiment with gold detail embossing powder.

Orange and blue

Over at the icopic weekly challenge blog this week the challenge is to use orange and blue on your creation.  I was scrolling thru my collection of dustin pike digital images and ran across this surfing dragon and i though yep he will work out fine.  I went with orange and blue colors for the surf board and my draong is colored with blue copics. Crab is colored with red smooch.  I used some smooch on the wave.  My paper is from echo park spash and my bunched border is martha stewart drippy goo punch. 

No lines

On the make it crafty blog one of the gals had a brilliant thought what if you stamped your image in a lighter color then black or printed your digital more faded.  The result is your image almost looks painted.  I choose to use smooches from elisabeth bell and i faded her to 80 percent.  I think i am going to try going lighter next time around.  I do like that end result.  I am entering this card into the bells and whistles anything goes challenge.  Hope you have a great week.

Over at simon says stamp challenge they are running a contest for all children age 2 - 16 years old.  They can make any kind of card they want.  They can also enter as many times as they would like.  These are some cute punched animal shaped cards created by zander age 8.  He loves to create cards.  Hope you like his cute little critters.

The challenge this week over at Kenny K is to create a summery feeling card with a kenny k image.  I choose to use troublemaker.  My papers are from ki memories, i used red and yellow as my accent colors, added some glitter smooch to the ice cream cone.  I used some glitter pens on her shoes and the hood of her jacket.  I sure your in the mood for some summer fun now.

Distressign with kraftin kimmie

Its time to get distressing with kraftin kimmie this week.  I choose to use this adorable strawberry paper with this image from kraftin kimmie.  I used my distressign toold on the red and green layers of the card.  My bow is made with my bow easy and the sentiment is from kraftin kimmie as well. Image is colored with copics.
