unity and paper make up card fun

I love the sketch that was shown this week over on splitcoast stampers so i made a set of 4 cards with the same papers and ribbon and used 4 different images.  2 of them are from paper make up and 2 are from unity.  The whateva and the butterfly are unity stamps and the two fairies are from paper make up.   Hope you like the set.  I had fun.

Hi i got my paper makeup order in the mail and when i saw the jashen fairy.  I knew he would perfect with this photo of my son.  He feel asleep reading and i just had to snap a photo and make a layout.  Hope you enjoy it.

Summer time magnolia

I have been browsing around split coast card gallery looking for inspiration and maybe some new kind of images to play with then what i have.  I ran across a very cute summer magnolia card.  I have no magnolia so i reached out to my friends on splitcoast and got some images to play with. darrel lip revison surgery

Today was a big day in my sons rather short life.  He was born with a cleft lip.  Before he was a year old he had a surgery done to repair his lip.  He looked like a bunny rabbit.   The doctor said before he went to kindergarten they would do a revision on the lip as his mouth change as his teeth came and he got bigger.  Today was the day for that revision.  The following photos are pictures from before to recovery time at home. 

The first photo is of darrel in his gown with his two surgery buddies little dog and his teddy bear. 
The second photo is him smiling some more for the camera. 
This photo is a close up of how his lip looked before the surgery.  He basically has a fat lip due to scar tissue from the previous surgery. 

This is a shot of him just before he we head home he was still to out of it to really walk to the car. 

This is how his lip looks right now with the stitches in. He will get those out on august 14th.  He pretty much camped out on the sofa with a strawberry smoothie and any movie he wants to watch.   He on a liquid diet tell the stitches come out.

august 2009 sheet load and pms fairies

It a new month and that means a new sheet load sketch.  When i saw the sketch i was not sure what i wanted to do with it.  Then i got some of the bo bunny summer papers and i have 2 very cute summer fairies from paper make up and voila a very cute set of 8 cards.
